Opening
The Amhara people experience structural violence, discrimination, and marginalization. Amharas in Ethiopia are suffering from several forms of social and economic marginalization, including a lack of infrastructure, food, water, sanitation, and access to healthcare services. Furthermore, Amharas lack meaningful representation in both local and federal government, rendering them politically powerless. As a result of this deliberate marginalization, Amharas are the victims of ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, and genocide. Therefore, we acknowledge the necessity of peacefully organizing and working to oppose the oppressive system, ensuring Amharas achieve social and political justice, economic equality, and reclaim forcibly and unlawfully acquired territories.
To support the Amhara people’s fight for survival and freedom, we founded the Amhara Association of the Bay Area. Regardless of region, gender, or religion, all persons of Amhara heritage must struggle to achieve long-lasting societal change in order to address the complex, systemic issues Amharas face. This organization has no affiliation with or influence by Ethiopia's current ruling Prosperity Party, Amhara Prosperity, or any other political organization. On June 17, 2023, we thus established the Amhara Association of Bay Area, which will be administered by reputable Amharas that the association's members have chosen, with the support of Amharas in the Bay Area.

The association's objective and vision are to be a dependable and trustworthy institution that addresses the economic, social and existential challenges facing the Amhara people and offers long-term, sustainable relief and solutions to improve Amhara’s general welfare.

Creating long term plans, programs and strategies to address social and economic challenges
Informing the international community about the genocide committed against Amharas
Obtaining resources and expertise from the Amhara community who reside abroad as well as from humanitarian organizations and individuals working all over the world in order to address the social and economic issues facing the Amhara community in a sustainable manner.
Our projects and initiatives concentrate on the following areas: health, education, water and sanitation, physical and mental rehabilitation of internally displaced people and violence victims, assistance for the elderly and disabled, agricultural and technological development, funding for small businesses, and other initiatives to improve economic conditions. Prioritizing vulnerable individuals, such as young people, women, and farmers, should be the goal of all programs and activities.
To assist and empower those who are peacefully striving for the rights and welfare of the Amhara people.
To foster closer ties between the Amhara diaspora and Amharas in Ethiopia in order to promote inclusive and just social and economic development.
To provide resources such as money, expertise, and materials to organizations that peacefully work to obtain justice, land, economic, social rights for the Amhara people

የአማራ ህዝብ መዋቅራዊ በሆነ ግፍ እና አይን ያወጣ የዘር ማጥፋት ወንጀል በሀገራችን በኢትዮጵያ እየተፈጸመበት ይገኛል። በመላው ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ የሚኖረው የአምሓራ ህዝብ የምግብ ዋስትና የሌለው፤ በንጹህ የመጠጥ ውሃ እጥረት የሚሰቃይ ፤ የመሠረታዊ ትምህርት ተደራሽነት የሌለው ሲሆን፤ ለከፍተኛ ድህነት ፤ ለጦርነት እና ለእርስ በርስ ግጭት ፤ በሀገር ውስጥ መፈናቀል እና ለውጭ ሀገር ስደት ተዳርጓል። እንዲሁም የመምረጥ እና የመመረጥ መብቶቹን በመግፈፍ፤ ሆን ተብሎ ከስልጣን እንዲገለል በማድረግ፤ ፍትሃዊ የሃብትና የንብረት ባለቤት እንዳይሆን በተደራጀና በተጠና መዋቅር ሲሰራበት ቆይቷል። ባጠቃላይ የአማራ ሀዝብ በተደጋጋሚ ጦርነት ኢኮኖሚው እንዲወድም ተደርጎበታል። ይህ የአምባ ገነን ሥርዐት በአማራ ወገኖቻችን ላይ የከፈተውን የህልውና ጦርነት ለአለም መንግስታት በማሳወቅ እና የአማራን ህዝብ ለነጻነት፣ለእኩልነት፣ ለለፍትሃዊ የኢኮኖሚ ተጠቃሚነት እና አካታች ሐገራዊ ልማት ተጠቃሚ ለማድረግ ፤ በጉልበትና በሀይል የተወሰዱ የአማራውን እርስት ለማስመለስ በሚደረገው የሰላማዊ ትግል መሳተፍና ማገዝ ወቅታዊ እና ቸል ሊባል የማይገባው መሆኑን ተረድተናል።
በመሆኑም የአማራ ህዝብ ነጻነት በገጠመው የህልውና ፈተና ላይ የራሳችንን አስተዋፅኦ ለማበርከት፤ መላው የአማራ ተወላጅ የሆነ ሁሉ ከጎጥ ከፆታና ከሀይማኖት ልዩነት ሳይገድበው የአማራ ህዝብ በኢትዩጵያ ማህበራዊ፣ እኮኖሚያዊና ፖለቲካዊ ችግሮችን ለዘለቄታ መፍትሄ ለማምጣት እንዲያግዝና ከድህነት ለማላቀቅ በሚደረግ ጥረት ሁሉ እንዲተባበር በማመን፤ የሚመሰረተው የቤይ ኤርያ የአማራ ማህበር አሁን ኢትዮጵያን ከሚገዛው የብልፅግና ፓርቲ እንዲሁም ከአማራ ብልፅግና ፓርቲ ተጽዕኖ የፀዳ፤ በሚታመኑ እውነተኛ የአማራ ተዋላጆች በሚመርጠው አመራር በሚያስቀምጠው ግብና በሚነድፈው ዕቅድ እንዲንቀሳቀስ አና እንዲመራ ፤ የቤይ ኤርያ የአማራ ማህበረሰብ አስፈላጊውን ድጋፍ እንደሚያደርግለት በማመን፣ የቤይ ኤርያ የአማራ ማህበር ሰኔ ፲, ፳፻፲፭ ዓ.ም. (June 17, 2023) በኦክላድ ከተማ፤ በካሊፎርኒያ ጠቅላይ ግዛት ተቋቋመ።
የማህበሩ ራዕይ
የአማራ ህዝብ የማህበራዊ ፤ ኢኮኖሚያዊ፤ የህልውና ችግሮችን በዘላቂነት ለመፍታት አስተማማኝ ድርጅት ሆኖ ማየት።
የማህበሩ ተልዕኮ
1. በቤይ ኤርያ የሚኖሩትን የዐማራ ማኅበረሰብ ኅብረት እና አንድነት ማጠናከር፤
2. የዐማራን ሕዝብ ባህል በቤይ ኤርያ አካባቢ ማጎልበት እና ማስተዋወቅ፤
3. በቤይ ኤርያ አካባቢ የሚኖረውን የዐማራ ማኅበረሰብ በኢኮኖሚ፣ በማኅበራዊ ኑሮ፣ በሥራ መስክ እና በትምህርት ዘርፍ እርስ በእርስ የሚረዳዳበትን መርኃ ግብሮች መዘርጋት፤
4. የቤይ ኤርያ የዐማራ ማኅበረሰብ በአካባቢው ባለው የዐማራ ጉዳይ ትኩረት የሚሰጠው እንዲሆን እና ተሰሚነት እንዲያገኝ ተፅዕኖ መፍጠር ናቸው።
የማህበሩ አላማ
በካሊፎርኒያ ግዛት በቤይ ኤርያ አካባቢ ጠንካራ እና የተደራጀ የአማራ ማህበር መመስረት
የአማራ ህዝብ ላይ የሚታየውን የኢኮኖሚና ማህበራዊ ችግሮችን በዘላቂነት ለመፍታት ፕሮግራም በመንደፍ መስራት።
በሰላማዊ እና በዲፕሎማሲያዊ መንገድ በመጠቀም በአማራ ህዝብ ላይ የሚፈፀመው የዘር ማጥፋት ወንጀል ለኢንተርናሽናል ኮሚኒት ማሳወቅ።
በውጪ ሃገር ከሚኖሩ የአማራ ማህበረሰብ እና በመላው አለም ከሚሰሩ የበጎ አድራጎት ድርጅቶች እና ግለሰቦች ገንዘብና እውቀት በማሰባሰብ የአማራ ማህብረሰብን ማህበራዊና ኤኮኖሚያዊ ችግሮችን በዘላቂነት መፍታት።
የምንሰራቸው ፕሮጀክቶች ፤ እንደ ጤና፣ ትምህርት፣ የውሃ እና የአካባቢ ጽዳትና የግል ንፅህና መጠበቂያ ተቋማት ፣ የአዛውንቶች እና የአካል ጉዳት ማገገሚያ ፣ የግብርና ልማት፣ ቴክኖሎጂ፣ አነስተኛ ሥራ ፈጣሪነት እና ሌሎች የገቢ እና የስራ ማስገኛ ፕሮጀክቶች ላይ ያተኩራል። በወጣቶች ፣ በሴቶች ፣ ገበሬዎች ላይ ትኩረት ለሚሰጡ ፕሮጀክቶች ፤ ቅድሚያ መስጠት ተገቢ ይሆናል።
ለአማራ ህዝብ ሁለንተናዊ ጥቅም እና መብት መከበር በሰላማዊ መንገድ ተግተው የሚንቀሳቀሱ አካላትን መደገፍ እና ማጠናከር።
በውጪ ከሚኖረው የአማራ ማህበረሰብና በሃገር ቤት መካከል ያለውን ግንኙነት በማጠናከር ሁሉንም አካታችና ፍትሓዊ ማህበራዊና ኢኮኖሚያዊ ብልፅግና እንዲፈጠር እገዛ ማድረግ።
የአማራ ህዝብ ፍትሃዊ የልማት እኩል ተጠቃሚነት ፣ የፍትህ፣ የወሰን እና የርስት ጥያቄዎች መልስ እንዲያገኙ በሰላማዊ መንገድ የሚንቀሳቀሱ ድርጅቶችን በገንዘብ በእውቀት እና በቁሳቁስ መደገፍ።
